Crowley Park
If you like freshwater fishing then you will love Crowley Park which is known for its picturesque fishing pond in the center of the park. The pond also features turtles and ducks, and is also a great place to bring younger visitors thanks to its two play areas. These cater to both young and older guests, and there are also trails that skirt around the park for visitors to enjoy. Picnic areas are situated at strategic locations around the park so you can bring a bite to eat and enjoy the local scenery at the same time.
About CPNA, Our neighborhood is a quiet and family-friendly community located in Richardson, Texas and is made up of approximately 1,054 homes. The area that makes up Crowley Park is Jupiter Road East to Clear Springs and Renner Road south to Lookout Drive. There are a few homes just east of Clear Springs that fall into Crowley Park. Although there are several names for properties within the area, the association is named in recognition for the most prominent neighborhood feature, thus Crowley Park Neighborhood Association (CPNA). This park runs along the south side of College Avenue and offers recreational facilities to the community. The now-closed College Avenue Community Centre is located east of the park. Even though the name of the park was formally changed to College Avenue Park in 1961, just one year after it opened, and renamed again to Crowley Park in 2020, many area residents still refer to the facility by its original name, Essex Court Playground. A neighbourhood improvement project undertaken in 1982 saw many upgrades in the park, notably, a running trail, playground equipment and basketball courts. Across the street, College Avenue Bikeway, a 1.9-kilometre trail connecting Mic Mac Park and the College Avenue complex, was developed in 1995 as part of a National Infrastructure Improvements project.
